DR. Velma Trayham Founder of the Millionaire Mastermind Academy

The Millionaire Mastermind Academy was created to facilitate the growth of women owned businesses while supporting local economies and combating the threat of poverty through entrepreneurship. Coming from humble upbringings, Dr. Velma Trayham has personal experience in navigating adversity and building a successful career and multiple businesses from the ground up. Although her first few businesses failed and her family did not come from money, Velma learned from mistakes made and pushed through to launch several successful enterprises. She shares her journey of failures and successes with entrepreneurs as an example of the realistic start that many entrepreneurs experience when launching their business. Through her company, Thinkzilla Consulting Group, she realized women need support, resources and guidance to successfully launch their career as entrepreneurs. Millionaire Mastermind Academy aims to produce more leaders and successful business owners to generate jobs and grow underserved communities. Since its inception in 2017, the Millionaire Mastermind Academy has mentored over 8,000 individuals, certified 25 minority, women business owners across the United States, awarded $60,000 in scholarships and issued $36,000 in seed funding to aid women entrepreneurs in building successful and sustainable business enterprises. A powerhouse group of mentors across a range of industries provide top tier programming, mentorship and business development education that is not offered in the traditional school setting. We are one of few organizations that have structured mindset development and leadership and actively form relationships with corporations that seek to show their social responsibility by fostering opportunities for minority women to become business owners. The result of our work being a more inclusive environment that embraces diversity and fosters opportunity for women to create a promising future for themselves, their families and the future generation of women.
